The Games Cast is a LIVE weekly podcast hosted by Duncan Simpson (@boidster), Paul Sunter (@paulsunter) and Phil Collins (@fatherfil). We like to think we put a more mature spin on the world of gaming and all the baggage that comes with it.
Every Friday at 9pm (UK Time) The Games Cast comes live to you from Spreaker.com and the 60 minute long show is a mixture of news and chatter on the weeks hottest topics. We try to cover as much as we can in one hour and we invite feedback from any medium you can find, though most of the time all the action happens in the live chat room.
Our Spreaker.com show page is here – www.spreaker.com/thegamescast. You can find us on Facebook at – www.facebook.com/thegamescast, and we’re also on Twitter too under the strange name of @TheGamesCast.
If you’re interested you can find out more about how we produce the podcast right over here.
Phil Collins
Phil, aka Father Fil, is a gamer at heart. Being the proud owner of a ZX81 and a Spectrum 48k meant he started the long road to geekdom early on in childhood. Since then it’s been a long line of consoles and computers, through the Sega Mega Drive and the Sega Saturn, continuing on to the Wii and the 360. If found online Phil will be trying to teach someone a lesson the latest first person shooter. Or is that him being taught a lesson. Who cares. He doesn’t.

Duncan Simpson
Duncan, aka Boidster, has been gaming for over 24 years now, having started at the tender, impressionable age of 8 (you do the maths) he’s never looked back. Well once or twice, but the rose-tints were thrown away a long time ago. Often heard quoting “everyone is a geek for something” to defend his own affliction, he wonders how his young son will cope with Daddy liking ‘joypads’. Liberty City has almost become a second home for Boidster, and although the biker look really doesn’t suit him, the pseudo-russsian accent is coming along nicely.

Paul Sunter
Paul, aka Looney, is TGC’s very own goateed Metal-boy. He’s been a gamer for so long, Sir Clive Sinclair wanted to adopt him as his son. Joypads quake in fear when he enters the room, and for that matter so do the dented walls of his home – although his Rock Band instruments are still in one piece (we think!). Give him a virtual car and racetrack and he’s a happy bunny. Until someone cuts him up then the mist decends. It’s dented wall time all over again!

Charlotte
Yes, one can always rely on Saucy to break gaming demo machines at expo’s so badly that even the developers can’t fix it! Saucy is her name and indie games are her real game. Yup, that really was a bad pun, and no, apparently they don’t get much better. Still, those who follow her on twitter know that already. That being said she does know her games, complete with her ‘Talk Nerdy To Me’ top she could natter on for hours about art concepts, game play, handling and how boring Resident Evil 6 really is, in fact don’t get her started on that. No, please don’t.
(twitter: @saucychp; xbox live: saucychp; steam: saucychp) aka Saucy “The Oversharing Gamer”. This girl has some real gaming skills!
